high school crush

Assalamualaikum :)

i just went back from the Westlife concert. like seven hours ago. ahah but i cant sleep since i drank teh tarik for the very late dinner just now. or was it just post-concert excitement? :B my heart is beating fast like a drum beat on a macarena song. yerdeh. i did try the relaxation method, or whatever you call it, to slow down the heart palpitation, but failed. hey i succeeded in few cases before! oh yess i got insomnia alot! its just the beginning of the semester, only week 1 to be exact, and i'm already staying up throughout the night (the best part is i did nothing but toss and turn in my bed instead of doing assignment!!) ! hoorayy! not.

so yeah, about the concert. AWESOME! need i say more? Westlife was awesome as always. as awesome as 11 years ago. i just wished they could sing more of the old old tracks - coz they sound more familiar than the new ones...? :P honestly, i stopped following them after i left secondary school. not purposely though, it just grew out of me. it grew out most of people i think. maybe cos we have more things to attend to other than drooling over some good looking fellas who sing beautiful love songs? but i never stop liking them though. whenever i hear their new song on the radio, i can easily recognised Shane & Mark's voices and i know that's Westlife :P and to prove my love for them, i never like another band or singer more than i like them after i stopped following them. well, until JB comes up. but that's nothing compared to how i love those Irish lads! ok nang mena-menar lah nak convince you people that i really like these people. like proving my love to them gituu. well, there were the very first band/singer that i'm a fan of from the English mainstream. seriously. before Westlife, i was the biggest fan of Elite!!!!! hahahaha SERIOUS confession here, people!! :P nahh i'm not ashamed of it. i still like to look at the pretty photos of the Elite members. i guess every girl has an idol to look up in their process of growing up, right? well i first started with a Barbie, and then the fairytale princesses (or was it the other way round? it should be the other way round) and then there were these Elite girls. haha ok we were talking bout who, again? Westlife or Elite? a'hah about the concert, the only thing that was a bit frustrating was the stage. stage AF lagik grande than this one. it was just a rectangular stage in black. no LED lights under the floor like Anugerah Juara Lagu. just.plain.black. no fun. since i don't really know their new songs, what more to memorise the lyrics of those songs, i can't sing along to those songs. but but but! - i did screamed my lungs out to What Makes A Man and Flying Without Wings!!! i'm actually surprised that they sang What Makes a Man since it wasn't a hit song. was it? i was hoping they do the signature Swear It Again, or legendary If I Let You Go. like the very first few songs that introduced Westlife to the world! heheh BUT i was also expecting Flying Without Wings, so i am super duper contented! :) and when Nicky said 'raise up your hands if you listened to Westlife songs during your high school time?' or something like that, i just feel connected, you know! you who listened to Westlife songs especially during your Form 1 2 3 years would know what i'm saying! but then he added 'yeah! it makes you feel old, right?' or something like that. ahaha what we all did not expect was, a proposal made by a guy to his girlfriend on the stage before the thousand pairs of eyes in the stadium! and after the lady said yes to her newly-engaged man, the Westlife lads sang My Love with the couple still sitting on the stage. and they hugged after the song ended! i mean the newly-engaged couple hugged those four Irish boys one by one, not they hugged each other. how romantic and sweet and beautiful moment was that?? not the hugging part (that was the jealousy part), the proposing part in front of many on a stage with Kian and Mark recording the moment on their personal recording devices! well having a heart as soft as a tissue, of course i cried. it's like watching romantic comedy bah! the difference is its the real world and those two people are serious in marrying each other, not an act, that the ring stays on the finger after the curtains are drawn! i hope. all in all in all, i still have the hots for Shane :P

that's the happy couple. and the boring stage.
(didn't expect the photo would be too small - very the lazy to crop. :P)

happy faces of 12 years Westlife fans! :)

now now now. still no sign for my eyes wanting to shut and call it a day. in fact, i think i'm ready for breakfast. nyum nyum nyum~

vibrancy

i go gaga over colourful things. and cute stuff too. if i happened to possess them, i usually take millions of photos of them before i put them into full use. but most of the time, i love them so much i keep them in the cupboard afraid i might wear them all out - e.g. i've got a photo frame i got on my 16th birthday still intact in its box, i've a colourful mug set i bought like 6/7 years ago still wrapped in brown paper, two summer dresses from 2 years ago waiting for the right time to be worn, lets just stop there ok. AND, at the end of the day year, its still there and defeats its own purpose. is there any name for this kinda habit? but i'm sure i'm not alone in this matter. so who here is overly penyayang and keep their stuff in a nice paper bag in a box in a cupboard, hands up!! owwh, so you're in denial, huh? its ok.. i feel you.. *doing the Joey wink (watch more Friends, will you)*

so this is a tribute entry to my childish fixation: my new found love of colourful pencil(s) and cute paperclips. please bear with me.

you feel me yet?

that's all. thank you. bye! :D

smooth waltz

another dance routine that sends goosebumps all over my body. although the judges were not really impressed, considering that they only learned the move together for a day and a half, i think this is elegant enough and the girl looks honestly in love :) :) :)

so i think i can dance

i dreamt of Apiz. moving so fast like when you fast forward a video of people walking. like in cartoon motion. but muted. i laughed so hard watching him trying to amuse me. i think i was literally covering my mouth as i giggled in my sleep. and i woke up missing him more than ever. and the best part is, he did amuse me in the dream, and he did make me start my wednesday with smiles :) :) :)

i fall in love again last night. with a girl. named Katee. i love the way she moves. her smiles. the way her body flows loosely to the rhythm of the beat. she's one of the finalist in So You Think You Can Dance season 4. i know. they're about to start season 7 now - in 2010. season 4 is like way back in 2008. i'm cute like that u see, being not up-to-date with reality tv programmes. haha did i just call myself cute? hahaha and i never thought SYTYCD (cant they name the programme shorter like.. Dance Dance Dance?) is that fun, thats why i always switched to other channel if that programme was showing, but i'm glad i didn't last night. anyways, Katee was soooo VERY amazing and graceful. i first watched her dance with the winner of the season, Joshua, dancing to Slow Dancing in a Burning Room. i think my jaw dropped straight down to the floor once they started swaying their body swiftly to that soothing song of John Mayer. oh and i didnt pick up my jaw back until the dance routine was over. i watched the series again this afternoon and once again i was blown away by Katee and Joshua. also by Katee's shiny personality. how easily i fall in love kan? with a girl some more... and thats my story of falling in love with a girl within three minutes of watching her moves. and thats how i fall in love with dancing. i wanna do that too! i always have this dream i can dance gracefully like a ballet dancer. but i have two left feet you see. but i can work on it. oh that reminds me of a travel documentary i watched hosted by Asha Gill. she was in Spain and tried to learn tango from a Spanish old man who is also an artist. they practiced and practiced and Asha keep on tripping. Asha said to the Spanish man :

"i'm sooo sorry.. i have two left feet!"

and he said:

"it's OK. i have two wives."

hihihi how cheeky cute is that old man?? two days later, they tango-ed in front of a crowd, on a white canvas, a plate of red paint in the centre of the canvas, and as they danced, their shoes will get in the plate and out on the canvas, and at the end of it an art piece was created!

bottom line: watch more of SYTYCD, and i will think i can dance. so i think. hee hee hee!

you are heartless if you dont love these moves:

the musical

so Cuci The Musical officially starts today.

and i can't go. coz i just came back from KL 10 days ago, and i'm going to KL again in three weeks time. so the timing for the musical is a bit off for me (although it is a purrrrfect timing if i'm in KL, coz someone or anyone can chia me watch this musical on 24th October! :p). since i'm still proudly unemployed (haha!!), i dont want to be a spoil child who only knows how to ask for money from parents and spend them without feeling guilty of not working :p so in other words, i want more money but at the same time i dont want to start working yet so i dont have money so i act like i have no money lah. no money no talk, right? :p and so i cant see Awie and Afdlin Shauki singing at Istana Budaya this time around. the price to pay, eh?

nevermind. i have found another musical performance! the best part is, its free and it happened in real life - more precisely, a real supermarket! this really made my day me for the whole period of Cuci The Musical showing in Istana Budaya! *proud(as.in.garfield-proud)*

you OUGHT to check this out:

i wonder what will happen if we do this kinda stuff in Malaysia. you know lah some of the Malaysian. what will you do if you suddenly hear someone singing in soprano pitch dancing around with three or four other people in synchronised steps in Carrefoure? or Ta Kiong maybe? or Giant? ngeehee~

i love Redang!

when i look up in the sky, and see clouds like these..

it makes want to go to the beach.. and at this very instant, i terribly miss the holiday i had in Redang recently..

with its turquoise colour water baring all its inhabitant in it, who would not cry (silently) in joy? swiftly, all the nausea and headaches from the eight-hour bus journey seems bearable and worth it..

as my feet touched the super soft white fine sand, i really felt like rolling on it and bury myself in it amidst the stinging sun ray.. but of course i didnt..

the water is so very mineral-water-clear that i wished all of the people-whom-i-knew-would-enjoy-this-bliss were with me in this humble island of Redang :)

of course i didnt waste any time.. i got change and have my bimbo moment in the water. hee!

i miss swimming with the fishes..

i discovered there really are blue sands, and i thought Yuna was exaggeratting in her song..

i had the chance to see the house which was once in a movie acted by Sammi Cheng.. and also, i got to know the helpful + zealous beach boy, --- (oohh, i forgot his name!)

i  missed waking up early in the morning just to watch sunrise by the beach - one of my many yet-to-come-true wishes!

but the sun bailed out on me..

and so i just enjoyed myself sitting on the soft + moist sand watching the day as it grew brighter..

and brighter..

and brighter..

and brighter.. before i realised it was time to go home..

*sigh* i really miss the beach AND the island, even Twenteen enjoyed it..

i heart Redang Island!

until my next trip to an island where the fishes and i will reunite, Damai Beach will do.. though it doesnt have sandy white beach, or crystal clear blue water - i'm so very thankful that we have beautiful and clean beaches within the vicinity of Kuching :)

ps: credits to Sheila, for some of the photos are taken by her :)
